My name is Angelina Hong.
I am a photographer specializing in food and people, specifically food entrepreneurs, small to medium businesses/organizations, creative individuals, and passionate couples. I am based in the San Francisco, Bay Area but I also accept work in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area.
Originally from Minnesota, I came out to the Bay Area where I graduated from Stanford University with a BA in Human Biology. Several years out of college, I quickly realized that my heart and passion lied in photography.
I am a bi-ethnic (Hmong & Korean), queer, woman. I am a daughter of an immigrant father and a refugee mother; and these identities not only influence my work, but they affect how I see and interact with the world.
When I’m not shooting, I enjoy hanging out with my two cats (Jax and Yunie), practicing Muay Thai, and eating anything that comes from a potato!
“Angelina is very detailed and gets to know her client better before starting work. She is very professional, she asks the right questions, and she has a great personality! Everything went amazing. I’d recommend her to anyone looking for a food photographer!”
“I enjoyed working with Angelina. Her final product did a good job in capturing peoples’ interactions and connections, the land and space we were at, and the food. I would recommend Angelina’s services to folks who work in food in any capacity (restaurants, food businesses, organizations, events, etc). What sets her apart from others is she understands food beyond taking a pretty photo. She understands how food plays a role in all parts of our lives.”
